On Halloween, we will be publishing our first ever full length novel, Yuko Zen is Somewhere Else by Pankhearst stalwart Simon Paul Wilson. To celebrate, we will be holding some sort of virtual book launch with giveaways, exclusive collectibles, t-shirts, and some stuff like that there.
If you want an invitation to the Yuko launchy thing, there will prolly be about a million different ways the message might reach you, but if you want to be sure, the best plan is to go like our little used Facebook page.
Here’s the 411 on the girl who wrote herself into existence.
My name is Yuko Zen and I am somewhere else …
After a strange encounter with a beautiful girl in a Chinese take-away, Chris Winter discovers she’s left her journal behind. He only opens it to search for her contact details, but he’s quickly pulled into her mysterious world. The world of Yuko Zen – a nameless Asian city filled with tales of Buddhist dogs, hedgehogs and yogurt pots, and a magical girl named Pixie.
When Chris is totally hooked, Yuko’s journal takes an unexpected turn. It starts to talk to him …
Magical (sur)realism for Young Adults of all ages, editors at publishers Harper Collins have likened YUKO ZEN to works by Audrey Niffenegger and Haruki Murakami. But please, don’t let that put you off.
